Turners announce biggest prestige auction ever

Turners Auctions is having its biggest prestige auction yet this Saturday with over $3.5m worth of luxury vehicles on offer

Car enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to get a bargain on their dream car this weekend as 30 luxury vehicles worth $3.5m go under the hammer.

Turners says the special auction is a result of owners not being able to justify the cost of having a 'spare' luxury vehicle. Twelve of the 30 cars have been repossessed.

The weekend’s line up includes a 2006 Hummer H2 with an estimated retail price of $90,000 to be sold at ‘No Reserve’.

There is a hand-made 1997 Aston Martin Vantage – the only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Its reserve price has decreased by $115,000 after being passed in at the last prestige auction. Turners estimates that this car will sell for close to $150,000.

A 2003 Black BMW 545i comes with a free 1999 VW Polo valued at $9000.

“Cars sold at prestige auctions often end up going for around 30 per cent less than their retail value. So the auction attracts buyers and car enthusiasts keen to see the impressive line up of vehicles,” says Todd Hunter, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Turners.

Other dream cars for auction this Saturday include a 2009 Ultima GTR Supercar valued at $250,000 and a 2006 BMW M6 E63 Convertible.

The Prestige Car Auction will be held at Turners Auctions Penrose, 70 Gavin Street, at noon Saturday, June 13.
