Italian stallions rampant in 2008


Italian supercars sell strongly and profitably.

Fiat’s supercar divisions, Ferrari and Maserati, have posted good sales results for 2008.

Maserati lifted its revenue to a new record of 825 million Euros, an 18.9 percent improvement.

It sold 8759 cars last year, a 16.8 percent rise.

Ferrari’s sales rose only 0.6 percent, but profits were up 27.4 percent at 339 million Euros.

Ferrari sold 6527 supercars, and its revenue rose by 15.2 percent to 1921 million Euros.
