Harford leads tight Toyota practice

Lower Hutt driver Ben Harford took first blood in the opening practice session for the Toyota Racing Series at Pukekohe today.

But he was just 2/10 of a second faster than Formula Ford champion Shane Van Gisbergen
who was making his debut in the class. Andy Knight was third quickest, 3/1000
of a second behind. Veteran Ken Smith who has struggled to get on the pace, in
past seasons, hit top form running fourth just 5/100 of a second behind Knight.
Then came Earl Bamber, Australian Formula 3 frontrunner Ben Clucas, followed by
New Zealand Grand Prix winner Hamad Al Fardan of Bahrain.
