Volvo P1800 re-imagined

Koenigsegg engineer Mattias Vöx has designed a modern day Volvo P1800

Based on the original 1960s design, Vöx's creation is a 4.4-litre, 600hp, V8-powered beast, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The original P1800 was made famous as the car driven by Roger Moore in the British TV series The Saint in the 1960s

Vöx has teamed up with Swedish desing firm Vizualtech to come up with the styling elements of the one-off car.

Next to the classic P1800, this design has larger wheel openings to accommodate larger wheels, and aerodynamics are improved through a rear diffuser, flat underbody tray and an added 70mm to the front of the car to help fit the proposed powertrain.

Here's hoping this model will go into production!
