The Clubman uses the same 71kW naturally-aspirated 1.4-litre, four cylinder petrol engine as the One Hatch.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with a six-speed auto with manual-shift capability an option.

Suspension steering and suspension come from the Cooper Clubman, giving the newcomer sharp and entertaining handling.

Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto engine Start/Stop and Shift Point Display are all standard.

BMW quotes combined cycle fuel use of 5.4 litres/100km (52.3mpg) and CO2 emissions of just 130 grams/km.
