Tidy MGB -Imported to NZ in 1968 - rare to find one with original equipment disc wheels.
Mileage indicator is in miles not Kms and will have been around the clock.
Paint is tidy but by no means mint -it must have been painted several years ago as the paint is clearly not new. But the good thing about that is that any nasties would have shown through by now!
Has a small crease near the top of the door panel on the L/H side - have tried to photograph it but it wont show up.
So a very honest example - what you see is what you get.
Interior is in beautiful condition (later model rake adjustable seats fitted )
Non standard 14" steering wheel.
New inertia reel belts fitted, which included a $215 seat belt fitting kit.
Speedo has recently been rebuilt.
Motor is brilliant -(original matching numbers) heaps of power and not rattly. Distributor has just been rebuilt and carbs balanced and mixture set - so runs great.
Gearbox (non - O/D)has had quite a bit of money spent on it - but has a grizzly 1st gear. Seems a common thing as I have two earlier model MGs with the same complaint.
(Invoices for G/Box parts include a 2nd hand 1st gear for $150!)
New clutch kit fitted in 2009 - very few miles since.
Tyres are as new - the spare has never been on the road.
Stereo is a drop front type for cassettes and has a C.D. changer in the boot.
There is no structural rust - but a few small spots here and there. The sills and front lower guards are solid and strong. Has just passed a WOF so obviously no problems..
The front suspension and rear shocks have been rebuilt at some stage (possibly 2009) with new bushes and re-coed shocks.
The hood is the pack away type (I have a fold down frame if you prefer that style) and is in good condition - nothing fancy - but serviceable.
Usual stack of receipts - had over $2000 spent in the last 2000 miles.
A tidy car that can be used as is for years to come as it is - or an easy restore to mint condition.
