"New GT-R launched Jun '11 with two model variants, Premium & Black Edition. Features improved engine output & torque, greater fuel efficiency, revised handling, refreshed ext with improved aerodynamics, revised int treatment & new wheels & tires. Engine & Trans enhancements incl modifying boost press of turbocharger, valve timing & air mixture ratio, reducing intake air resistance by enlarging the inlet pipe diameter, & reducing exhaust air resistance through an enlarged section of exhaust pipe, fuel economy improved to 8.5L/100km (10-15 mode) or 8.6L/100km (JC08 mode). Engine output improved to 390kW @ 6400rpm with maxTorque of 612Nm from 3200 to 6000rpm. Cleaner emissions by adopting an ultra-low precious metal catalyst & ECM hi-capacity microprocessor, achieving SU-LEV certification levels (emitting 75% fewer emissions than Japan's '05 exhaust emission std). New SAVE mode is adopted, which optimises driving torque & modifies shift schedule to improve fuel economy. New shaped instrument panel pad & nav sys display finisher. Real carbon center cluster finisher is used, along with matte black finished switches. GT-R emblem at the center of the steering wheel has a new velour-like coating. For the paddle shift, a coating exposing the magnesium base material is applied. Chrome-plated rings in the console & A/C outlets are finished with a new black smoky coating. Downforce is increased by 10%, while coefficient of drag is further reduced from 0.27 to 0.26. Stability improved by enlarged bumper & grille openings. Front bumper newly designed with double rectifier fins & with a large-diameter reflecting surface & hi-intensity white-color LED lights. Redesigned rear bumper features a lower center of gravity than the previous design, created by a sculptured lower portion & extended length. Underfloor cooling performance is enhanced with air resistance reduced by extending a rear diffuser. Cooling performance for muffler is improved & rear downforce is increased by about 10% through use of a new rear bumper air outlet. Newly designed tailpipe finisher with enlarged diameter is adopted. GT-R Black Edition dropped from range late '11."
