Downer EDI Engineering, one of Australasia’s top engineering and infrastructure management companies, has chosen the Mercedes-Benz Vito van for its New Zealand operational fleet.

Alan McDonnell, procurement manager for Downer EDI Engineering, says the Mercedes-Benz has an excellent track record for safety.

“We thoroughly reviewed the NZ market before making a decision for our fleet, and Mercedes-Benz Vito came top on our list.

“We were looking for more than the standard features, and the Vito’s ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) ensure our staff has maximum traction and steering control.

“We determined Mercedes-Benz Vito to be one of the safest vans in the world and we are pleased with our decision.”

Alan says that they were also impressed by other qualities of the Vito, including its higher fuel efficiency, high residual sale value, extended warranty period, and longer service intervals.
