Lotus says the Evora 414E Hybrid concept is a “high performance technology demonstrator with a plug-in series hybrid drive system and new technologies for enhanced driver involvement”.

The Lotus 414E Hybrid is so-named becasue it produces 414 PS (306kW) of power.

The 414E Hybrid can reportedly make the 0-97kph sprint in under 4 seconds, and has a total hybrid range of 483km. Two electric motors drive each of the rear wheels independently via a single speed geartrain. Electric power is stored in a lithium polymer battery pack. Additional range is provided by the Lotus Range Extender engine, an optimised 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine, designed specifically for series hybrid vehicles.

Eco mode or Sports mode features a 7-speed paddle shift with energy recuperation.

The integrated glass roof, showcasing the engine technology, plus engine cover and interior concept came from Lotus Design. Inside, the copper theme is carried through, mated to leather, Alacantra and metal.
