"Insight hybrid 5dr hatch introduced Nov '10 with two distinct variants, Insight S & Insight E. Insight Sport models SP & EP add full sport skirt front, rear & sides as well as front fog lamps on both models, leather models SP & EP add leather int with leather seating front & rear, & int trim & luxury models SPL & EPL which offer the style of the Insight Sport models & Insight Leather models. Features a 5th Gen hybrid Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) sys. Features new 1.3L, i-VTEC 4cyl engine based on Civic Hybrid engine, modified & enhanced with improved fuel economy. Low friction, pattern coated piston design, combined with new catalyst design. As well as a new engine, Insight gets a new, improved motor which uses coils with hi-density windings & hi-performance magnets to produce 10kW & 78Nm, with new motor reduced in size & weight. Insight's battery has also been updated, making it smaller & lighter than that found in the Civic Hybrid, with size reduced by 19% & weight by 28%. It contains 7 modules with a dozen D-size cells each. Power output of the modules is 30% greater than the Civic & the pack has a total capacity of 580Wh.
