"Giulietta 5dr, 5-seater hatchback, steel monocoque body arrives in NZ late '10 with a choice of two engines, a 1.4L MultiAir Turbo petrol & 1.8L petrol Turbo version. Features incl DST (Dynamic Steering Torque) sys, Electronic Q2, which electronically 'simulates' the presence of a self-locking differential. New Giulietta's added to range Feb '12 with the next Gen ALFA TCT twin dual dry clutch semi-auto trans. TCT auto-trans models are avail with a choice of 2-engines, a 1.4L TB MultiAir 125kW petrol & a new 2.0L JTDM-2 125kW diesel. TCT models are equipped with shift paddles behind the steering wheel. The 1.4 TB MultiAir 125kW petrol Giulietta with the TCT has a top spd of 218km/h & 0-100km/h in 7.7s, fuel consumption combined cycle of 5.2l/100km, 121g/km of CO2. The 2.0 JTDM-2 125kW diesel engine with a TCT trans compared to the same version with MT gearbox, has acceleration from 0-100km/h drops from 8.0s to 7.9s, the combined cycle fuel consumption decreases from 4.7L/100km to 4.5L/100km, while CO2 emissions are just 119g/km compared to 124g/km for the MT gearbox. It is no surprise, given these performance gains by the TCT gearbox, that the MT version of the JTDM-2 will not imported.
