The ultimate fast cat
Jaguar has landed three of the ultimate XKR grand touring coupes in New Zealand.
The limited edition Jaguar Portfolio coupes take the high performance Jaguar R car and add further touches to make it more exclusive, allowing owners to personalise their car to a greater extent.
Local Jaguar boss, Wallis Dumper, says the Portfolio XKRs are “very exclusive models with limited world-wide availability.
“Only 150 of these cars are available (and) New Zealand was fortunate to get three. This is the sole allocation we’ll get from the factory.”
The Jaguar XKR Portfolios come in an exclusive Celestial Black, with polished aluminium body power vents, 20-inch polished Cremona alloy wheels, a new high performance braking system with 400mm front discs and 350mm rear discs.
Two of the New Zealand cars have engine-spun alloy interiors with warm charcoal leather upholstery. The other has a more traditional Satin American Walnut veneer interior with ivory leather upholstery.
The trio all have a new alloy and leather gear lever for the six-speed automatic transmission, which can also be operated manually via steering column mounted paddles.
Contrast stitching throughout the cabin is used on all of the upholstery and there are Portfolio tread plates.
The sound system has Bowers & Wilkins speakers. The Jaguar XKR Portfolio will sell for $254,990.
All Portfolio models retain the standard specification of the XKR model.
