You could drive the new Beemer on a racetrack... in Melbourne
M Car fans will no doubt have noticed the brand new 1 Series M coupe launched recently by BMW. Well, the model has arrived in this part of the world and we’ve heard the chance to drive the sensational 250kW rear-drive rocket ship could be closer than AutoTrader readers might think.
Our friends down the hall at TopGear New Zealand magazine is giving readers the chance to experience BMW’s brand new 1 Series M coupe on the track! In association with BMW one reader will be getting flown across the ditch to Melbourne to take the Beemer through its paces as part of the Australasian media launch of the M Division’s littlest, latest battler.
Anyone can enter though, just by heading along to BMW New Zealand’s Facebook page, ‘liking’ the heck out of them and completing the online entry form. The lucky winner will be whisked away to Aussie on August 30th for a first hand fang in the car.
The new 1M has already wowed pundits in Europe. Likened to a “baby M3”, the 1M coupe builds on the M3 platform with an M tuned 3.0-litre straight six delivering 250Nm and 450Nm. It looks amazing too, boasting a hunkered down stance and arches flared to race extremes.
