Daimler has revealed the facelifted Smart ForTwo, set for official debut at the Paris Auto Show in October
The facelift includes a new exterior colou - light green with a matte finish, and customers able to choose from three new 15-inch alloy wheels.
LED daytime runners are now built into the car's front, and the grille, mirror caps and safety cage are now available in white, as well as silver or black.
Under the hood, new engine software reportedly helps to improve fuel consumption levels, with emissions reduced to 97 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
Inside you'll find LED lighting, and an optional 16.5cm LCD screen will provide driving information. Other added features include a new leather-wrapped steering wheel, centre armrest, and a renewed instrument cluster. The dashboard has also been refreshed.
The 2011 Smart ForTwo facelift will be followed by a rear-engined ForTwo. The next generation car is to be built on a rear-wheel drive platform, developed from a partnership with Renault, and should hit the market in 2013.
