The Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-litre engine, pumping out 620hp (462kW). The current-generation GT2 offers 390kW, and the recently-released GT3 RS offers 335kW. Even the V10 Carrera GT with an output of of 450kW is outclassed.

According to Porsche, the new 911 GT2 RS will lap the Nurburgring circuit in seven minutes and 18 seconds, putting it among the few production vehicles to complete the course in under 7:20.

Highlights of the GT2 RS include carbon-fibre-reinforced components with a matte black finish, redesigned front bumper, wider wheels with flared arches up front, new central-locking light-alloy wheels and a 10mm taller rear spoiler lip.

The Porsche GT2 RS is limited to 500 units, with its worldwide debut scheduled for the Moscow Auto Show in August.
