Richard Mason wins SS2 to extend his Rally Otago lead
Richard Mason takes a 12.7 second lead over Hayden Paddon into the first service break of the morning in the Otago Rally.
As they head for the Lake Waihola service park south of Dunedin, Subaru driver Mason has two stage wins under his belt, and increased his lead over Lancer Evo driver Paddon from eight seconds on SS1 to just shy of 13 on SS2.
Mason won the second test by 4.4 seconds from Paddon.
Chris West, fighting back from a puncture on SS1 which dropped him three minutes behind Mason, fought back on Stage 2 to record 9m 29.9s, just under 10 seconds off Paddon’s stage time.
