Toyota has enhanced its diesel RAV4 with a sophisticated new look
The RAC4 receives a new chrome-accented front design, with a wider, horizontal bar-type radiator grille design.
It is framed by new headlights integrated into a new bonnet and front bumper design, which Toyota says emphasises the vehicle’s wide track and dynamic posture.
In profile, the RAV4 diesel keeps it distinctive silhouette, while adding newly designed 6-spoke 17” alloy wheels.
Unchanged inside, RAV4 diesel maintains its high driving position, roominess, and safety specifications.
RAV4 diesel is available with Vehicle Stability Control Plus (VSC+) and Traction Control as standard, as well as a full airbag package with driver and passenger front, side, driver’s knee and front/rear curtain shield airbags.
The 2.2-litre diesel engine provides 110kW of power and 340Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. RAV4’s Active Torque Control 4WD system monitors and controls the torque transfer between the front and rear wheels, improving stability and reducing fuel consumption.
Toyota says the RAV4 uses 5.8 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres while emitting 154 grams of CO² per kilometre.
Toyota’s RAV4 is also available with a petrol engine in standard and Limited grades with the choice of manual or automatic transmissions. Specifications for these models remain unchanged.
