The 2011 Ford Mondeo, featuring new styling, safety tech and efficient engines, has landed in New Zealand
A fuel efficient turbo diesel and state-of-the-art safety features head the list of changes for the 2011 Ford Mondeo, along with new standard equipment and changes to exterior and interior styling.

The 2011 Mondeo will be offered with the choice of four-cylinder petrol and turbo-diesel power.
Ford's 2.0-litre Duratorq 16-valve turbo-diesel engine has a fuel consumption rate of 5.6-litres per 100km* – a 21% improvement on the previous Mondeo. Maximum power and torque levels are 120kW and 340Nm.
Mondeo petrol models will feature Ford's 2.3-litre Duratec engine. The 16-valve unit produces a peak power level of 118kW and a maximum torque of 208Nm. Combined-cycle fuel consumption is 9.3-litres per 100km*.
Partnering the diesel engine is Ford's PowerShift® six-speed automatic transmission using dual clutch technology.
A six-speed torque-convertor-equipped automatic transmission backs the efficient petrol power unit.
New driver safety features include Collision Mitigation; Driver Alert; Adaptive Cruise Control; Adaptive Front Lighting System with cornering headlights; Lane Departure Warning; Adjustable Speed Limiting Device; Automatic High Beam headlights; Blind Spot Information System; and LED Day Time Running Lights. These features join Mondeo's standard five-star ANCAP safety arsenal which includes seven airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA).
Exterior enhancements across all models in clude a new bonnet design, new upper and lower front grilles, new front and rear bumper bars, revised tail-lights, mirror-integrated indicators, new front fender bezel, new tailgate and deck-lids.
Inside you'll find front passenger seat lumbar support, new interior décor with satin black audio surround, and new polished chrome scuff plate (wagon models only).
