James Bond will be back behind the wheel of an Aston Martin in his next movie, Casino Royale.
Daniel Craig, who will play James Bond in the film, which is due for release in November 2006, visited theAston Martin factory in Gaydon, England, last week to view the featured car.
Full details of the car to be used in Casino Royale, appropriately are being kept top secret but the company confirmed it would be a new model called the DBS.
“It is great news that Bond will drive an Aston Martin again and we have built him something special to enable him to do his job in style,” said Aston boss Dr. Ulrich Bez.
Bond's association with the marque began in 1964 with the film Goldfinger when the DB5 was fitted with extras such as ejector seats and rockets. The last Bond film, Die Another Day, featured Aston Martin’s current flagship model, the Vanquish. The Bond DB5 sold at auction last week for $3 million, minus the extras.
