Mini is expanding its line-up with the addition of its new Coupe model, spied testing this week
Mini says the new Coupe model is "geared squarely to maximising driving fun".
The first two-seater in its line-up, the Mini Coupe achieves the best performance statistics ever recorded by a volume-produced Mini.
Utilising either a petrol or diesel engine, outputs range from the 90kW (122hp) of the Mini Cooper Coupé, to the Mini Cooper SD Coupé (105kW / 143 p) and Mini Cooper S Coupé (135kW / 184hp), all the way up to the Mini John Cooper Works Coupé, producing 155 kW (211hp).
The chassis set up includes Electric Power Steering, DSC stability control system, and powerful brakes to give you that "go kart feeling".
Lookswise, the Mini Coupe features a flat silhouette, helmet roof, roof spoiler and active roof spoiler, and high-opening tailgate.
New Zealand models, specification and pricing will be confirmed at a later date.
