McIntyre happy enough with fourth

Series leader starts from second row in this afternoon's V8 race.

John McIntyre says he’s never happy if he’s not starting from pole position, but he’s happy enough with his fourth-place on the grid for this afternoon’s opening NZ V8s race at Teretonga Park, Invercargill.

“It’s fine,” says the series leader and defending champion.

“But we just can’t get a green (new) tyre going in the car (during qualifying).

“It seems to be a weakness in our team getting a green tyre set-up.

“I’m happy points-wise starting from fourth,” says the BP Ultimate Ford Falcon racer.
