Mazda has revealed a range of new engines and an updated version of the 2008 Kiyora concept, that it will have on display at the Tokyo Motor Show in October
At the Show, Mazda will exhibit the Mazda SKY-G direct injection petrol engine, the Mazda SKY-D clean diesel engine and the efficient Mazda SKY Drive automatic transmission.
Mazda says both engines "offer improved eco-friendliness and torque thanks to optimised combustion efficiency".
The Mazda Kiyora is powered by the new SKY-G 1.3-litre petrol engine, and uses the six-speed SKY-Drive automatic transmission.
The Kiyora reportedly achieves fuel economy of 3.1L/100km and the compact body is 100 kilograms lighter than Mazda’s current mass production model in the same segment.
