Video: Honda has released footage of its supercharged CR-Z Mugen concept ahead of its official launcgh at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month
The CR-Z Mugen is a joint project by Honda and Euro Mugen to develop a performance-oriented hybrid model.
It is essentially a one-off concept, outfitted with an aerodynamic body kit, a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking system and 17-inch alloy wheels. The car weighs 50kg less than the standard CR-Z.
Power is provided by a supercharged 1.5-litre engine that is paired to an IMA hybrid system. This gives the car a combined output of approximately 147kW (197hp) and 181 lb-ft (245Nm) of torque, which enables it to accelerate from 0-96kph in roughly 6.6 seconds.
