In just its first month of sales, the new Holden Cruze has rocketed up the sales list into third spot
The Holden Cruze is New Zealand’s third most popular passenger vehicle, selling 194 vehicles in July, according to figures released today by the Motor Industry Association.
Holden New Zealand Managing Director Simon Carr said the figures demonstrate the promise of the new model as a genuine contender in the lower medium segment.
“We have been delighted with the public response to the Cruze,” Carr said.
“It is early days for this car and for it to register such strong sales in its first full month in showrooms is promising for long-term appeal."
Holden says Cruze orders for the coming months remain exceptionally strong and are expected to continue with high demand. There may even be some pressure on supply in the coming months.
The Cruze first went on sale on 1 July and complements Holden’s Commodore which remains New Zealand’s second most popular passenger vehicle year to date.
The recently announced Model Year 10 (MY10) Commodore range, due here late September, is set to slash fuel use with increased fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions achieved through two new engines offering Spark Ignition Direct Injection.
