America’s newest supercar, the Devon GTX, has been revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours
The 2010 Devon GTX features an 8.4-litre V10 putting out 650hp, a six-speed manual transmission, a steel structure and carbon fiber body with centre front air intake.
It sits on 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, large StopTech brakes, plus a McIntosh Audio System.
The GTX is the work of Devon Motorworks – a company set up and run by frozen food entrepreneur Scott Devon, a fan of the Dodge Viper who actually bid for the Dodge Viper name and assets when Chrysler attempted to sell them.
The Devon GTX prototype has already proven its capability, beating the lap record at the Laguna Seca track in the USA.
Devon plans to sell 36 GTXs a year, with each one costing US$500,000 (NZ$741,500).
