Camaro collectors will have a big battle on their hands at the next Barrett-Jackson
The first production 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is listed on the iconic auction’s website as lot 1316, and it's anybody's guess how much the final bid may be when the gavel drops.
Production of the Camaro begins in mid-February, so expect a pre-production prototype to be shown in the acutal production car's place at the Scottsdale, AZ, show sometime after it starts on January 11.
Details on the website are slim -- no trim, transmission, or engine specs listed -- but, judging from our experience with the V-6, none of the options should be disappointing.
The lack of a price is somewhat ominous, but proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Heart Association and we all know how the charity auction for the first Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 went.
Auctioning the first model looks to be a proper way to introduce the Camaro from how popular these cars have been at Barret-Jackson. In any event, we can’t wait to see it hit the road.
