The facelifted Mazda3 has made its official debut at the New York motor show, complete with SkyActive engine technology
The new Mazda3 will be the first to feature the firm’s SkyActiv petrol engines, plus SkyActiv manual and automatic six-speed gearboxes, and updates to the interior and exterior styling.
The new 2.0-litre SkyActive petrol engine produces increased power, from 108kW to 115kW, and torque has climbed from 182Nm to a round 200Nm.
Fuel efficiency has also reportedly been improved by 20% over the older model (8.7L/100km for city driving and 6.0L/100km on the highway).
On the outside, the 2012 Mazda3 sports a new grille, revised bumper and rounded fog lights.
