Ford's Jamie Whincup has won both races at the Phillip Island 300 yesterday
In a chaotic race on Sunday, Whincup's Ford led throughout the 44 laps to cross the line ahead of Holden's Rick Kelly and Garth Tander.
Will Davison, Whincup's closest challenger in the series, dropped off the pace after finishing in 11th place.
Whincup has now opened the gap over Davison to 122 points with two rounds of the championship left.
In Sunday's race Ford's Mark Winterbottom was speared off the track at 280kmh after being nudged by young New Zealander Shane Van Gisbergen, bringing the field to a crawl.
