Team NZ took four awards, including Most Improved driver for Jonny Reid, at the end-of-season A1GP dinner in England this week.
May 2, 2007, 10am. Team New Zealand was in the pound seats when the annual gongs were handed out at the A1GP end-of-season awards evening in London this week.
Not only did it pick up the prize for finishing second in the series behind Germany, but it also took the awards for PR Excellence and Most Supportive A1GP Franchise.
And Team New Zealand driver Jonny Reid was judged the Most Improved A1GP Driver.
Reid it was “a fantastic feeling” to receive the award.
“Last season I didn't get to drive so much and (this) is a just reward for all of my hard efforts and the people that believed in me.
“I'm stoked to get this award. Second in the championship is two places ahead of where we finished last season and it was a very positive result for A1 Team New Zealand.
“There’s only one more step to go now, and that's definitely the target for next season.”
