Series leader Kayne Scott looks for a hat trick of BNT NZ V8s series round wins after victories at Chritschurch and Timaru.
BNT NZ V8s series points leader, Kayne Scott, goes into this weekend’s Teretonga round happy that the Mark Petch Motorsport team has got a handle on how to get the best out of the Fujitsu Ford Falcon.
Scott goes to the Southland track on the back of consecutive round wins at Ruapuna before Christmas and Timaru last weekend and leads the series by 31 points from defending champion, John McIntyre.
“It’s great that we’ve been able to get our head around (the car set-up) and get the balance needed," he says. "The car is very strong. It’s good under brakes, it gets the power down well.
“At the first round of the series at Taupo we had a weapon and then the conditions changed and we couldn't get the set-up quick enough.
“Now we have a good understanding of the car and we’re a lot happier."
