Paul Radisich has bounced back from his Bathurst injury to be seventh-fastest Ford drivers – and 11th overall – in timed practice for Round 2 of the V8 Supercars.
March 24, 2007, 11.30am. Team Kiwi Racing’s Paul Radisich showed he has lost none of his fire when he was 11th fastest in the Team Kiwi Racing in the All Black Ford Falcon at Perth yesterday.
The practice session was Radisich’s first real drive-in-anger of the FPR-built Falcon.
He got the nod to race the car in Perth after passing a test against first round driver Adam Macrow.
The V8 Development series champion had replaced Radisich in Adelaide after the New Zealander withdrew because his ankle, broken in a massive crash at Bathurst last October, had not healed sufficiently to cope with the demands of the street circuit.
Radisich was seventh fastest of the Fords yesterday, behind fellow Kiwi Steven Richards (Ford Performance Racing).
Fellow Kiwis Greg Murphy (Tasman Motorsport Holden Commodore) was 17th fastest and Fabian Coulthard (Sirromet Wines Holden) 29th.
