September 1, 2007, 5pm. Rally New Zealand has a new leader for the first time since it started yesterday morning. Sebastien Loeb (Citroen) has taken a 1.7 second lead after getting ahead of Marcus Gronholm (Ford) on the day’s final test, Te Akau North in the western Waikato.
Loeb beat the Finn by 5.4 seconds to move into the lead.
Mikko Hirvonen remains third in the second works Ford.
