Manfeild appoints new chief executive

New Manfeild chief executive, Heather Verry, brings solid sports event management experience to the Feilding events centre which includes the Manfeild motor racing circuit

Manfeild Park Trust chairman, Ben Vanderkolk, says Verry has “an impressive background in event management, including the Wellington’s touring car street race, Fina Diving World Cup and NZ Golf Open

“Her track record in securing significant sponsorship and her extensive central and local government experience can only benefit Manfeild, which has invested heavily in becoming the most well-known facility for major events of international standard, including core events in agri-business, motorsport and equestrian.”

Verry joins Manfeild after working as acting chief executive for Victim Support which she took from a deficit to a strong financial position.

She says Manfeild is well-placed to extend its scope of operation. “In a climate where those clients are looking for a good return on their investment when it comes to events, conferences and functions, Manfeild is well positioned to deliver.”

She starts work on April 22. Christopher Boyle will continue as acting chief executive till then.
