Hartley replaced as F1 reserve driver

Kiwi driver Brendon Hartley has been replaced as reserve driver for Red Bull Racing for the remainder of the F1 season

The 19-year-old fron Palmerston North was the first New Zealander since the early 1980s to be eligible to apply for a Formula 1 Super Licence.

Reigning British Formula 3 series champion Jaime Alguersuari replaces Brendon Hartley, who will continue racing in European F3.

Alguersuari, also 19, will deputise if the first-choice driver is unable to race.

The Spaniard's first race as reserve driver will be the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring on 12 July.
