Target Chip Ganassi Racing has a front row start for one final chance at the IndyCar Series 2006 Championship in this weekend's 200 lap shootout at the 1.5 mile Chicagoland Speedway. Scott Dixon will start from the second spot on the grid after qualifying with a fast lap of 214.592 mph (25.4996 seconds).Teammate Dan Wheldon earned a third place starting position with a qualifying lap speed of 214.387 mph (25.5239 seconds).

Heading into Sunday's season finale, Helio Castroneves (441 points), who has a one-point lead over Penske teammate and pole sitter Sam Hornish Jr.(440 points), will start fourth. Wheldon (422) is within 19 points of the leader, while his Target teammate, Dixon (420), is also still very much in contention just 21 points behind in the Championship standings.

"We've got to go out there for the win, "says Dixon who would also like to become a two time IndyCar Series Champ. "We'll need to be aggressive and try to lead the most laps and a bit of luck might help too. We've had some missed opportunities this year but this is not one we will be just giving away."

Scott's team-mate Dan Wheldon starts one position behind in third position - the same placing he holds in the 2006 IRL standings.
