Fogg shows his colours for the season

Angus Fogg and LG Motorsport have announced Newstalk ZB as the new joint naming-rights sponsor for Fogg’s V8 Falcon for the forthcoming New Zealand BNTV8s Championship

Fogg's newly-liveried ‘LG ZB Falcon’ was revealed this weekend at Auckland’s Speedshow '09.

The first in the BNTV8s line up to reveal his race car for the season, North Shore-based Fogg said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Newstalk ZB on board as joint naming rights sponsor along with LG, and also welcome new sponsors Pit Stop, LG Mobile, Suzuki and Segedin’s Auto Spares as well as existing sponsors Strapping Systems/Fromm, Punch Advertising, Affordable PartsWorld and Transvisual Spraypainters.”

Fogg, who built and engineered the LG ZB Falcon said, “This years championship battle will be more intense than ever, with three races contested and televised live on Sunday putting a premium on car, driver and team performance and preparation.”

The announcement was just one part of an exciting move for LG Motorsport, in which they also revealed that 15 year-old driver William Bamber would join the team in the newly launched LG ZM Suzuki Swift Cup Car, rounding out an impressive line up which also includes superbike rider Sloan Frost.

Both ZB and ZM have come on board with LG Motorsport this season as joint naming-rights sponsors, and LG Marketing Manager Kane Silcock says that it is an exciting partnership.

“This announcement is real asset for the team,” Mr Silcock says. “ZB and ZM are perfect partners and we’ll be looking forward to producing some great results with these sponsors on board. Newstalk ZB and ZM are leading broadcasters and we are very happy with the complementing brand association,” he says.

“As well as this, we have a strong team which combines seasoned veterans and breakthrough talent. It’s going to be a fantastic season.”
