Peter Besenyei, the Hungarian three times aerobatic champion rendezvous with Neel Jani and Robert Doornbos, the F1 drivers of Red Bull Racing and Scuaderia Torro Rosso in the centre of Budapest last night. Only two weeks before the Red Bull Air Race taking place in the Hungarian capital and three days before the F1 Grand Prix in Hungary, the Formula - 1 in the air and on the ground met in a fascinating, central location, near the famous Hero Square.
The Formula-1 cars of Red Bull Racing and the Scuaderia Torro Rosso Teams started from a four lane avenue near the Hero Square, and down the middle Peter Besenyei flew above them. The cars and the plane continued their way around the Hero Square, touching the Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of Fine Arts. Having successfully completed the U turn between the museums, the two F1 cars went back to the start line, and Peter Besenyei prepared the next manoeuvre.
The pilots of the two cars and the plane had three chances to synchronize their actions. In the fourth run Neel Jani speed up to 210 km/h-s, meeting Peter Besenyei, flying the same speed above the car. Finally, Hungarian race driver Laszló Palik took the Red Bull Racing car on the track. Two great international events take place in Hungary in the next two weeks: the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend and on the 20th of August the Red Bull Air Race comes to Budapest for the 3rd time. The race takes place above the Danube River, in front of the sublime building of the Hungarian Parliament!
