Edgell wants to maintain momentum

After a horror start to the BNT NZ V8s championship, Aucklander Tim Edgell has scored strong results in the past two rounds and wants to go even better at Teretonga this weekend.

Rising star, Tim Edgell, says everything is finally starting to gel for him and the Chesters Ford Falcon in the 2008/2009 BNT NZ V8s series.

He qualified fourth-fastest in last weekend’s round at Timaru and finished the meeting fifth overall, a one place improvement on his showing in the Ruapuna round before Christmas.

This weekend at Teretonga, he’s looking to improve again after a tough start to the season at Taupo and then Pukekohe where the Falcon was heavily damaged after being hit, spun and then hit again in a multi-car crash at the start of race two.

"The whole thing is beginning to gel,” he says. “We’ve had so many setbacks and (Timaru was) effectively only our second round.

"We want to keep on improving. We’re a small team but we’re trying very hard."
