Budapest, Hungary, August 6. Brazilian Nelson A. Piquet was in devastating form in last weekend’s GP2 series race meeting at the Hungaroring.
He won Sunday’s rain affected sprint race after dominating Friday practice, qualifying on pole, and winning Race 1 on Saturday.
Piquet worked his way through from eighth in Sunday’s reversed grid race which started behind the Safety Car because of heavy rain.
Series points leader Lewis Hamilton came from 10th on the grid to finish second, ahead of Frenchman Alexandre Premat.
Piquet’s strong weekend has reduced Englishman Hamilton’s championship lead from 25 points to 11.
