Kiwi IndyCar driver Scott Dixon has confirmed he will compete in the Gold Coast round of the V8 Supercar Championship in October
Dixon has confirmed he will share a drive with either Todd or Rick Kelly during the race weekend, where guest drivers have to feature in both 300-kilometre races.
The 2008 Indy 500 winner believes it is going to be a great event although he says it is going to be a tough event for the non regular drivers.
Australian Indy Car drivers Ryan Briscoe and Will Power are also expected to compete in the Gold Coast event.
Dixon says he is excited about driving in a V8, though he hasn't driven a V8 Supercar since the late '90s when he had a few practice laps for the Holden Racing Team.
Dixon is currently coming sixth in the Indy Car series standings.
