Daniel throws down the gauntlet.

Defending champion Daniel Gaunt turned up the heat in the second Toyota Racing Series practice session at Pukekohe this afternoon, cutting half a second off the day’s previous fastest ti

Gaunt stopped the clock at 54.86 seconds which is half a second quicker than the
existing lap record. Ben Harford who was fastest this morning, was only 4/100
of a second slower than Gaunt. Hamad Al Fardan was third quickest but didn’t
go under 55 seconds. He was followed by Andy Knight, Earl Bamber, and Shane Van
Gisbergen, who were also under the existing lap record. Van Gisbergen in his first
meeting in a wings and slicks open wheeler, continues to impress, matching drivers
