New Zealand international Mitch Cunningham and top local Junior James Stead are in Macau this weekend competing at the Macau International Kart Grand Prix meeting
Organised by the Macau Sports Development Board, the Macau Government Tourist Office and the China-Macau Autosports Club, the event has quickly risen in stature over the past three years of operation to be one of the premier events in world karting.
Aucklander Cunningham, who has been driving for the works CRG team in Europe for the past two years, is one of 30 drivers invited from around the world by event organisers to run in the Formula A class in Macau.
Stead, also from Auckland, will compete in the Rotax Junior class.
The event has attracted over 200 entries from 22 countries including China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
