Burdett racks up another win

Michael Burdett overcame early laps pressure to score a convincing Formula Ford win.

Timaru International Raceway, March 4, 10am. Michael Burdett scored a runaway win in this morning’s MTA Formula Ford race.

Burdett got the better of the startline sprint to Turn 1, and was trailed closely by Andrew Waite in the opening laps before opening a gap.

Sam MacNeill harried Waite for the race distance but couldn’t get past.

Fourth went to Dunedin’s John Whelan who passed Daniel Jilesen on lap four.

Only 10 cars started the race in what has become a poorly-supported category.
