A1 Team New Zealand has confirmed 18-year-old Earl Bamber as their driver for the opening round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport this weekend.

Bamber is the third driver to race for New Zealand, afterJonny Reid and Matt Halliday.
"I'm really excited to be racing for A1 Team New Zealand next weekend. It's a huge honour to represent my country, especially as I've been selected to open the season for the team," Bamber said.
The season opener for A1GP's fourth season gets underway at the Zandvoort circuit in The Netherlands. From there the A1GP travels the globe for 10 weekends of racing, including a race in Taupo on 23-25 January 2009.
Jonny Reid and Chris van der Drift can also be expected to drive for A1 Team New Zealand during the Season Four championship.
