Baird and Reynolds resume needle match

Heading into this weekend’s Battery Town Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge round, the scorecard reads: Craig Baird 6, David Reynolds 5

That’s the number of wins the arch-rivals have racked up in the twelve 2008/2009 series races so far, with current and multiple champion Baird holding the points edge at 845 to 777.

Australian Reynolds (pictured), a former Formula Ford and Porsche champion at home, has been Baird’s main rival, but failing to finish the final race at Pukekohe at the start of the season has forced him to play catch-up to the ultra-consistent Baird.

Also in the frame this weekend are Jono Lester (a race winner on round one at Pukekohe) and Daniel Gaunt who has been on the podium at all four 2008/2009 GT3 rounds.
