Toyota’s alternative point of view

Toyota’s been displaying a 1966 Corona RT40 with the latest Aurion to mark 40 years in New Zealand

Toyota’s been displaying a 1966 Corona RT40 with the latest Aurion to mark 40 years in New Zealand and CEO Bob Field (pictured with cars) says, "If we could display the car that we will be selling in another 40 years it would reflect another giant leap forward in automotive technology because it would be a fuel cell hybrid powered by hydrogen."
Toyota is a leader in the development of fuel efficient, low emission vehicles and has been mainly responsible for the acceptance of today’s hybrids in New Zealand with the Prius and more recently the Lexus GX450h and RX400h.
"The biggest future challenge for the motor industry over the next decade will be the essential shift to more sustainable personal transport,” said Field.
