March 9, 2007, 8am. Honda’s using the Melbourne Motor Show to show a hydrogen-powered fuel cell car – complete with a hydrogen refuelling station for the home.

Honda’s Home Energy Station bypasses the need for a hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and not only converts the home’s natural gas supply into hydrogen, but also supplies domestic heat and electricity.

Honda plans to begin limited sales in Japan and the US next year of a fuel cell vehicle based on the FCX Concept (pictured).
