Ford recognised for a Variety of deeds

June 8, 2007, 4pm. It’s feel-good time at Ford as the company receives an international award recognising its commitment and support to the charity.

“The Ford management team and staff professionally and personally put their heart and soul into helping Variety help New Zealand’s kids,” a spokesman for the organisation said.

“As a long term supporter of Variety, Ford has helped make a difference in the lives of New Zealand children for 16 years.

This is not a fleeting sponsorship but one that has evolved into a corporate/charity relationship which is beneficial to both parties.”

Consultants place bets on eco-technology

June 8, 2007, 4pm. Ethanol and natural gas vehicles are likely to dominate the alternative fuel market globally, while hybrids will dominate the alternative powertrain market, according to a report by a major global growth consulting company.

Frost & Sullivan says that alternative propulsion and alternative fuel vehicles are set to significantly increase their share of the global engine market.
