AutoTerminal is New Zealand’s largest wholesaler of Japanese used vehicles to Registered Motor Vehicle Traders (RMVT)
AutoTerminal is New Zealand owned and operated and has been in business for over 10 years, bringing in around 5000 - 6000 cars a year.
AutoTerminal New Zealand (ATNZ) has introduced its own “End to End” (E2E) quality control process that ensures it not only meets New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) standards, but exceeds them.
It all starts in Japan with ATNZ's skilled purchasers buying the best value vehicles from the auctions; these are all local people on the ground at the auctions.
Once purchased the vehicle has a stolen vehicle check done, the speedo is verified as correct mileage, MAF bio-security and structural inspections are carried out, with a final interior and exterior clean before export.
On arrival in New Zealand, stock will be sent to ATNZ's 6500m² workshop in Wiri, Auckland, where ATNZ and VTNZ staff carry out various checks and inspections to make sure the car is fit for New Zealand roads.
This includes stripping exterior and interior panels to check for structural defects, engine oil and filter change, new tyres, battery, and brakes are fitted if needed.
Then a final independent inspection from VTNZ before issuing a brand new WOF.
ATNZ then road tests, carries out a final QA check, panel and paint if needed and yard-ready groom.
So, next time you are looking for a Japanese import vehicle, make sure it is a E2E certified AutoTerminal car.
