Frequently asked questions

 

Here are some answers to questions we regularly receive about listing a vehicle.

How do I reset my password?

From the Sign-In page click the “Reset/Forgot your password?” link. This will take you to a page where you will need to enter the email address of the account that you would like to reset the password for. Upon clicking submit you will receive an email with instructions on resetting/updating your password.

How do I register?

To register using your email address, click here, and enter the required information and click “Register”. Alternatively if you would like to login using your Social account, such as Facebook, Google+ or Linked In, click the social login button for the account you wish to use ie “Login with Facebook” button. This will ask for your login details and confirmation to proceed.

When will my listing be up on the site?

Once you have completed payment for your Ad, our customer service staff will need to review and approve your ad to ensure all of the information has been entered. This process will typically take up to one hour during week days and three hours after business hours.

Can I Re-list my Ad?

Yes, simply log in and select “Manage My Ads”, from there simply click “Relist Ad” for the ad which you would like to relist on the Autotrader site. This process can take approximately 15 minutes to show the listing on the site.

How do I pay for my Ad?

We accept Credit Card or Paypal for payment of your ad. This step is completed once you have entered all of the required information when completing your ad. Once you have verified this information on the “Review Ad” page you will be taken to the “Payment” page. Here you can either pay securely with your Credit Card, or alternatively click “Pay by Paypal”.

Can I advertise my Truck on Autotrader?

Unfortunately no, we only list cars on Autotrader, but you can list trucks on Deals on Wheels.

How do I edit my listing?

Simply 'Login' and press the 'Manage existing ad' button. Press the 'Edit ad' button and make your text or image changes. Press the 'Continue' button until you reach the 'Congratulations' page. We will review your changes, if required, (approximately up to 3 business hours Monday to Friday) and send you an email confirming your changes are all published.

I listed my car for $20 as a standard listing, can I upgrade to a premium listing?

Yes, log into the site, click ‘My Autotrader’ in the top right hand corner. Under the heading ‘My listings’, click on ‘Manage My Ads’. This will display a list of your ads, if an Ad is eligible to be upgrade you will see the ‘Upgrade’ button. Click on this button and follow the steps to upgrade.

I have sold my car, how do I remove it?

Congratulations on selling your car! Once logged in to My Autotrader Select “Manage My Ads”, from there simply click “Expire Ad” for the ad which you would like to remove from the Autotrader site. This process can take up to approximately 15 minutes to remove the listing.

How do I add photos to my listing?

Simply 'Login' and press the 'Manage existing ad' button. Press the 'Edit Ad' button and get to step 3 - which is the Ad photos page. Click on the 'Add photo' button. Select the image you would like to add, and click open for it to load. You can repeat this process for as many images that you would like to have and then press the 'Upload photos' button. You can now press the 'Continue' button until you reach the 'Congratulations' page. We will review your changes, if required, (approximately up to 3 business hours Monday to Friday) and send you an email confirming your changes are all published.
